Learn What Baby Cats Eat
Kittens are named baby cats. Cat is a domestic animal and it’s a carnivore. Historically it was believed that we find cats adorable because they remind us of our own faces and our babies.

Fruits
Besides cat food, baby cats can eat seedless watermelons and bananas as they have high sugar and nutrition content. So baby cats are really fond of bananas. Also, baby cats will eat strawberries, soften apples, cantaloupe, honeydew, etc. But baby cats don’t eat oranges or any citrus fruits because they are toxic to them.
Vegetables
Baby cats can eat boiled, mashed, or baked potatoes, but uncooked potatoes are indigestible. Additionally, baby cats can eat peas, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, boiled carrots, and pumpkins, etc.
They cannot eat tomatoes, because tomatoes contain solanine which is toxic for cats and remains indigested causing many harmful effects.
Dairy products
We have seen cats drinking milk, baby cats especially feed on milk but as they grow up they become lactose intolerant. As a result of this, baby cats can’t eat cheese, etc. they’ll throw up after feeding on dairy products. Baby cats will eat yogurt and Lactose-free milk.
Animals
Your baby cat will eat chicken, beef, a lamb without a doubt. Cats are really fond of mice. We’ve always seen cats running behind mice because it’s their favorite diet. Baby cats also eat canned or cooked tuna and and shrimp.
Rice and cereals
Rice is not necessary for a baby cat’s diet but they can eat rice and rice might improve their digestive systems. Plain oats and cereals are not essential for a kitten’s diet but you can feed them with cereals. Also, baby cats can eat bread.
What baby cats can’t eat?
Your baby cat can’t eat chocolate because it contains caffeine and it’s poisonous for baby cats. Also, baby cats can eat dog food. A little amount of dog food will not harm your baby cat but constantly feeding your baby cat with dog food will leave them malnourished. Baby cats can eat cat food, ham, liver, and pork.
